Hip mobility is very important for everyone, especially for those who spend a significant amount of time sitting. Whether you are working 8-hour days at a desk, or spending hours in the classroom, sitting shortens the hip-flexors and weakens the glute muscles which negatively impacts hip mobility and your fitness performance.
Hip strength is necessary in day-to-day life. Whether we are walking in the park, running for the bus, or cycling to work, the hip joint takes the brunt of the body’s weight and enables all of these fundamental actions. In short: Stable hips are a good thing, they carry our bodies throughout the day. Flexible Hips Workshop includes hip mobility exercises and stretches in order to offset tight muscles from hours of sitting.
